In my personal quest to find safer and non-toxic products, sunscreen was the first one to go!
Our sun protection is all natural, tallow based with non-nano zinc oxide as the main ingredient. The non-nano zinc oxide is a safe and effective option because it does not penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream. Non-nano also makes our sunscreen more white but non-nano has been found to have a broader coverage against UVB and UVA rays. Non-nano zinc oxide has an estimated 20 spf.
Unlike conventional sunscreens, tallow-based products are free from harmful chemicals, such as oxybenzone and avobenzone, which have been linked to hormone disruption and skin allergies.
Based on the natural ingredients included and their natural spf, we estimate to have a 25-30+ spf.

100% grass-fed tallow, organic olive oil, non-nano zinc oxide, virgin organic coconut oil, beeswax, calendula oil, organic eucalyptus & peppermint essential oil
Grass-fed Tallow: The fatty acids found in tallow can play a role in protecting from harmful UV rays. Tallow also has antioxidants properties, which has shown to neutralize free radicals and therefore protect the skin from damage caused by sun exposure.
Rich in essential fatty acids that help form a protective barrier to keep the skin deeply moisturized. These include palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, conjugated linoleic acid and oleic acid.
Organic, Cold-Pressed Olive Oil: A combination of healthy fats, vitamins and antioxidants plus an estimated spf of 5, make olive oil a great ingredient for natural sun protection.
Virgin Organic Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your skin and naturally has an SPF of around 4-5.
Non-nano Zinc Oxide: This is a key ingredient for sun protection. Zinc oxide has been found to be effective in combating both UVA and UVB rays. It sits on top of your skin and reflects the sun’s rays. Non-nano means the particles are too large to be absorbed into your skin, making it safer.
Organic Beeswax: is a natural ingredient to help maintain the creamy texture to aid in spreading our sun protection onto the skin.
Organic Calendula Infused Oil: Calendula oil is one of the most beneficial oils for your skin, handsdown. Calendula oil contains a high amount of antioxidants that can help eliminate oxidative stress on the skin. Studies have shown that calendula oil may contain the spf of 14.
Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil: Eucalyptus oil is estimated to have a spf of 3 but it has also been found to help with skin inflammation which could help with itchiness or redness.
Organic Peppermint Essential Oil: The menthol found in peppermint oil is soothing on the skin, as well as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.
DIRECTIONS:
Apply a pea sized amount, rub in well, re-apply after water or heavy activity & after every 2-3 hours. Rub in fully. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct heat.
